What have you done to your car today?

Cleaned it.

It then rained 5 mins later... :(

Likewise, except the second the wash mitt touched the car it started raining. Powered through as it was a light shower and it stopped soon after, all finished up and was just applying tyre dressing then it rained again. I'm convinced one of my neighbors has a switch that controls the weather and was doing it to wind me up.

Polished my exhaust tips - don't think they'd ever been done before. Still a few spots of tar on there, so I'll get some tar remover on it when I've got some time.

It's the little things.... :p

What did you use for the exhausts? I've used Autosol on my ST exhausts but they still don't look that good! Is it possible to get the inside of the exhaust looking clean again or will they always have black soot in them ?

I used autosol - it took a bit of effort getting the dirt off but after about 15 minutes on each side they ended up looking pretty good. I never tried clearing the inside - I'd imagine that would be rather more difficult.

Driven 400 miles, averaged 39mpg which I was fairly happy with considering recent economy, still might be time to find something a little better

How did you go about getting such a good effect? I'd like to know what I'm doing before I start on all 4 :(:p. Do you just use a or does it require special application?

It was dead easy - I just used an old rag and lots of polish. The dirt around the edge of the exhaust was very stubborn and took a lot of rubbing and polish application, the chrome on the sides was dead easy to clean - most of the dirt came off in just a couple of wipes with the rag. Bearing in mind your car is newer and lower mileage than mine, I'd imagine it'll be very simple for you.

After fixing a leak in my thermostat housing a few months ago, yesterday I finally got around to putting some anti-freeze in my coolant.

Mine's a '99 car! Not so new :p

Was quoted £230 to remove and replace my radiator, it's sprung a leak and I don't really want to depend or radweld or similar so I thought bugger it I'll try and do it myself! Trip to EPC and £47 down on a new rad, watched a few YT videos of the procedure - took just over an hour to do! very chuffed with myself :) engine bay in my Celica is very tight loads of sharp edges, guess that £230 charge included hazard pay!
