I've been virtually deaf in my right ear for many years and only 50% in my left ear but the Consultant reckoned he could fix the right ear with a Stapedectomy.
Two Mondays ago I went for surgery but came out still deaf because of the anaesthetic pads put inside my ear canal.
Today I went to have them removed and let's just say it got emotional.
I can now hear things I've never heard before but going back to my job it was an experience hearing sounds coming from everywhere.
I'm now sitting here with the TV on a low volume and Mrs SexyGreyFox asked me to turn it up a bit
the Consultant has filled it with a cream that will dissolve so I'm still not at full hearing but I was for a few minutes in the Clinic and it was weird hearing in stereo.
Go me.
Mind you I come home, go to the GP and my diabetes has got worse so I'm on extra pills and I've been given a machine to test my blood sugar.
