Steam Winter Sale 2015

Spent around £30 so far and as I'm pretty sure there will be no more deals, this is my lot this year

DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin DX11 upgrade - £7.99
Broforce - £5.99
Galacide - £1.39
King's Quest - Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember - £0.69
Quake Live - £1.39
Rocket League - £10.49

oh and gifted Spelunky to a mate @ £2.74 makes a total of £30.68.

Happy with that.

May pick up Homeworld Remastered and Kentucky Route Zero later...

No other place was cheaper, I very rarely buy from steam tho.

Not to be annoying as you've just purchased it, but Rocket League is £8.40 at GMG with their 20% off code if anyone is after it.

I did see that. I had some Steam credit so just bought it through that anyway.

I do look at the key sites. I will be getting MGS5 from Kinguin, Instant Gaming or G2A etc for instance.

This was RPS game of the year for 2013 and the last episode is out soon (apparently..)

hmm, what to do...

KRZ is weird but oddly compelling and satisfying to play. I really like it and can't quite put my finger on why, but for that same reason I imagine a lot of people wouldn't enjoy it. It's not a game you play to succeed or even for the story because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense when viewed that way, but if you just go along with it there's a lot to like.

I'm actually quite glad there's been fairly long periods between each act too, having them all within weeks or months of each other would potentially feel a bit overwhelming. Don't forget to check out the three loosely-related 'demos' too:
