I'm bored of it now. It's come around a week too early and my nerves are beginning to fray. I've eaten my body weight in mince pies already, drunk all my families booze cupboards dry, heard all the same Christmas songs at least a dozen times, maxed out the CC, have a house full of wrapped tat, had a shouting match with my wife this morning because she's stressed from the amount she has to remember.

I think i'm going to call it off next year.

Who's with me?

You've fallen for the whole thing hook line and sinker. You'll be signing up for the gym just after one last blowout nye.

Go for a walk

I haven't eaten a single festive item, touched a drop of booze or heard a Christmas song. Don't feel festive at all this year.

I'm in.

A couple of weeks is ok, perhaps even from the beginning of December, but being constantly bombarded with festive BS for the last 3 months+ is starting to wear a little thin, I can't wait until the whole malarkey is over with.

Had a bit of an argument with the GF in the middle of November because she wanted to put the tree up. In November. Why? "because all the neighbours already have their decorations up". My response of "that's because all the neighbours are a bunch of ****ing ***** ***** *****!!! Who **** **** and **** all the **** ****" didn't go down too well!

I've decided that Boxing Day is my new favourite day of the year, because it means at least 6-7 months before people start going on about it again.

I'm not a 'grinch', just sick of it being all people talk about from october onwards.

I mean people have started putting up trees in the middle of novermber now like its some kind of one-upmanship over who can overdo xmas the most.

+1

Damn Straight! I was bought up without it and really couldn't care about it now. My preference at this time of year would be to have a holiday and avoid it all. I've got a 5 year old who is looking forward to it but I'm not doing a tree or cooking...my parents can do the cooking. I do have some presents for him however.

umm, no. it's come around on the exact same date it comes around every year you know :p

only thing I hate about this time of year is the 'oh my god I have nothing done, oh my god I have no presents bought' crowd.....it's Christmas.....you've had a ******* year to sort your **** out!!!! it's not as if it just managed to sneak up on you!!!!!!!

This x100000......I'm a 'grinch'

I knew it!! :p

If you can't get into Christmas you are likely half dead.

Finish work at lunch today so off for a steak with workmates, my family tomorrow, hers Christmas day, meal with friends 27th then fly to Prague for NY 29th.

This is how you do it.

I think as you get older you need children to keep the magic alive, had it not been for our son my other half and I would probably be in Vegas or something "making do"... *sobs*

Do Childline still have a phone number or it all tweets and instergram these days? :D

lol :D

Not sure that's true at all mate! I've never been able to get into it. Yeah it's great having family around and the decorated towns/cities make a great photograph but other than that, does nothing for me!

This really, we've only really started celebrating again properly since having kids

I've been too busy at work and worrying about projects to be "Christmasy". But last night i finally wrapped the presents, today i'm wearing a Christmas jumper and i'm doing as much as i can at work and not letting people make me do things that they should be doing themselves.

Come 5pm tomorrow i'll be out of here and in full Christmas mode. The worry for the projects and work in the new year is Future-Ross' problem, i'll let that jerk deal with it.

I disagree, I'm perfectly happy to celebrate and "get into it" for the last 2-3 weeks of December, but unfortunately (at least round here) the Christmas "build up" basically starts at the same time as the halloween decorations come down.

I don't want to hear George Michael or "Do they know it's Christmas?" (no they don't... probably because it's ****ing not!) in the middle of Autumn! (Preferably not at all, but I'm willing to tolerate it for a couple of weeks).

Being a christmas party DJ must be so cheap, you'll basically only ever need that 1 CD you bought in 1989 :p
