Hi All,

Can I have some help in picking a monitor.

I would like one that is good for gaming and good for video editing/Viewing.

Not really sure what to look for!

Just bought a new PC and it has a GTX 980Ti

I would like to spend around £300 ish... can go higher if its worth the extra ££.

thanks :)

I've been using a 27" IPS Acer monitor for photo editing and it's been great but I wanted something faster for playing games, mainly FPS.

I bought the Dell G-sync and while I've get to attempt any photo editing, I have configured the display and colours are very very good - G-sync would be perfect with your 980Ti too ;)

Any links to this Dell G-Sync Monitor :D ?

Get a VA monitor, not TN or IPS if you're doing video editing. Blacker blacks are a huge win.

An Eizo FG2421 would fit the bill well for you, as it's also reasonably responsive and can do 120hz (or 240 with blank frame insertion / interpolation) and is roughly on budget.

Should have also mentioned the Iiyama 40" 4K VA as something more expensive and different. £470 at OCUK at the moment.

Thanks for the ideas, what about a 1440p 144Hz Monitor.

Anyone got any experience with these?

I think majority of my time will be gaming and FPS shooters, which may chnage which monitor i need to go for.

However I do own this monitor at the moment -

BenQ RL2455HM LED 24 -inch W Gaming Monitor 1920 x 1080

I've got the Rog Swift and it is by far the best gaming monitor I've had - I've also had IPS and 4K monitors and the swift blows then out of the water for gaming

The dell gsync 1440 that is on sale now is the same panel and a fantastic price, plus Dell support which is usually very good.
