What are you doing on Xmas eve?

Expected half-day at work, then straight to gf's to prep my turkchetta so it can dry-brine overnight.
 
I will work until about 2pm at the latest, although I'm hoping to get all my stuff done and out the door by noon. Then a quick tidy up of the flat, write out Christmas cards, and head down the local. It's the biggest night of the year for my local due to the 24 hour licence. Last year I think we finally closed the doors at around 0500!
 
im not one for going out on xmas eve. I cant stand hangovers on xmas day. Worst day to have one.

I will just sit in with the family, have a few light beers and some nibbles, chicken platters, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, the usual stuff and watch telly, listen to xmas songs and finish off watching midnight mass. Sorry if that sounds boring and a bit sickeningly traditional, but it's what I like to do.
 
Work till 1/2 four then home playstation on and a few pints of jd and baileys on ice, wake up at midday switch the tv on soak up a few good movies eating pizza in my pants and socks.

....and listen the the next door neighbour argue with his mrs and see how much his kids cry lol

I've never understood people who get hammered christmas eve then lie in until lunch time Christmas day and then never enjoy it because they are hanging all day.

Seems like such a stupid thing to do.

We'll be at home, family time, baking, eating and watching christmas TV most likely. :)
 
Having guests over so I'm making a nice beef stew with dumplings and home made bread. Plenty of snacks and beer to be had as well. 'Tis the season.
