Well they didn't take it to the high court did they, they'll have submitted as part of small claims. Saying 'court representation' makes it sound scarier and more difficult than it was.
Either way it wasn't free, it cost you 750 Euro.
Just been compensated 1800euros for flight delay.

You might be right.
I suppose it depends on the reason for making a claim. If the delay is caused by airline incompetence etc, then fair enough. If a flight is delayed because of something like weather or problems with air traffic control, then I would find it morally very hard to demand money from them. We should all know the risks of unforeseen events taking place that aren't necessarily somebody's fault. Anyway, that's what insurance is for.
I suppose that's just the culture we live in these days though.
Neither of these events would qualify for compensation under EU261 so I'm not sure what your point is.
You were entitled to it (And would have got it yourself anyway following clarification of the law with the test case involving Jet2) so there was no 'not have won' about it.
You therefore had 750 euro to lose and lost 750 euro as a result. If you think it was worth spending then that's great but it's completely false and misleading to refer to it as 'free'. It wasn't free, you engaged the services of a legal firm for which you were charged 750 euro. That is about as not free as you can get.

By the OP's logic my estate agency is giving me a free service too even if I sell and have to pay them thousands?

I don't see the problem in someone correcting something that is far removed from reality, what's the problem with that? If it means other people read the thread and get 750 euros more by putting in a small effort then it's cool beans surely? I'm sure if in a PPI thread had someone said they got a free PPI company to claim for them who actually took 50% everyone would be screaming for others to claim themselves. Isn't this the kind of thing a forum is for?
