Is it just me or does anyone else get nervous when they are working in their watercooled PC. I always end up with butterflies in my stomach or feeling nervous as I always think I've knocked some acrylic tubing or caused a leak? :(

Does it change the more you do or is it always the same ?

Nope, just want bother me at all I'm very blasé with it Tbh, far more careless than I should be. You kinda get used to it. It has led to mistakes, but nothing that I havnt instantly spotted and sorted.

Not hugely. I just swapped out the CPU on my build without opening the loop. I know how hard it is to pull the tubing off the compression fittings and with barbs you can see whether they are coming off.

It's good to know that the nerves wear off with experience as right now I always end up being concerned about working near the tubing. :D

I didn't think that much force would be required to remove hardline tubing from compression fittings as with the Primochill ones they don't seem to be that secure as other brands like Monsoon. :)

I don't really mind working in my box when it is running with my WC gear, like David i'm actually quite careless. :p
So you don't even get a little bit concerned when the side pannels back on and you can't see fully inside the system anymore? :)

Lost count amount of times I yanked my res out the way to do something or when doing a upgrade moving the water block out of the way :p

I have sent builds to Taiwan ans NL whilst the loops were filled with Hardline tubing. Even when they destroyed my case on the way back from NL the watercooling stayed strong. Have faith =D

I'm with you on this one TechMiner, although also being new to the whole watercooling thing hoping it will pass, and soon it'll be back to "throw it together and hope" mode :p

I was scared before I did my first build but now I'm very careless too. Draining the loop I've accidentally tilted the case a bit too much with the top of the res off plus a few other stupid things which resulted in coolant spillages lol... :(

No lasting damage though, as long as you take the right precautions it is quite safe.

A bit of pooh came out when I covered the cpu socket and ram slots on my RIVE with water one time... An empty block isnt always an empty block!!!

It's pretty fool proof and doesn't bother me at all. But then I work with steam at 45 bar and hydraulics at 1000+ bar :D

Well I suppose it is re-assuring that if that didn't destory your hardware then a little leak is hardly an issue if it's spotted. :D

Nope doesn't bother me :)
Just wondering how many systems have you built or are you just fearless :D

Same, It's annoying how the nerves get to me when I work on the system. Yesterday I was meddling with the fan hub and I was sure I had doomed it. ;)

At least the system was off so there is a fighting chance for the system to live. The bit that bugs me is working on the system when it's on (E.g. Cable managing in the back)

Well I suppose if a delivery company can't destory it the pipes must be pretty secure so at least I have a good chance of everything being okay :)

If you are tinkering then you didnt do it right to begin with.......
Not with the loop, with the fan hub at the back. I needed to see it as I had to change it out as it was acting up :)
When I say tinkering I mean I end up adding more hardware to the system around 4-6 months later :D
