Couple of witnesses claim he said it just started accelerating and he lost control. Leading credence to the claim it was above 30mph.
So then, he has a duty of care to stay fit and healthy and reducing the risks of these things happening. Otherwise if he lead a healthy life style it could be down to genes etc, which means if he's prone to heart attacks or heart disease why would he be driving at that age?
Reminds me of the time an old lady reversed into my nice new car at a supermarket car park and her excuse was 'I thought the spaxespace was empty' I promptly phoned the police, even though she was old.
Have you had your DNA tested? Have you had a cat scan of your brain or your heart? For all we know you're a ticking time bomb despite being otherwise young and healthy (assuming here sorry).
We've all heard stories of fit people suddenly keeling over. There's little that could have been done assuming no previous history.
