Hi guys, Do any of you know which CCTV kits are good?, Looking for a camera on the front garden, Driveway and back garden, My windscreen was smashed the other day... The car was facing away from the street so whoever done it was in the driveway next to the garage.

Looking at this currently - 4CH AHD 720P HDMI DVR 1500TVL 1.3MP Video Camera CCTV Home Security System Kit

Would like to stay around the £200 mark.

Any good? Thanks.

from experience nothing this cheap is any good as such. The best thing is its a good deterant, glowing red at nightime etc all adds to the put of factor.

Recording wise, my cheapo 4 camera set was ok, you would never be able to zoom in on faces etc and hardly read a reg plate.

I just upgraded my Floureon 4chan 800TVL to a Floureon 4chan 1500TVL (720p)

Cost £110-ish from The foresty place (minus hard drive)

Here's a night pic

Resolution is much greater than the 800 TVL version.

Be aware it's an embedded Linux system that some moron has hard coded it to need active X for remote desktop view.

It needs I.E to work unless you use their CMS software hence why this pic is running in VirtualBox

Hi. Please resize the image or put it in spoiler tags as I have above. Thanks.

If you buy direct from China you can get the cameras at a much better price than you will find on amazon etc. I got a DS-2CD2032F-I which is very well reviewed and regarded bullet camera for £55. Haven't got it yet, takes about 30 days from China but if you cut out the middle man there are savings to be made.

Then I'll connect it to my NAS for recordings, quite a cost effective way of getting it set up.

what I am using is Floureon 4CH AHD CCTV DVR Recorder with 4x 1200TVL 720P 1.0MP Night Vision Security Cameras Kit including 1TB HDD Kit,costs me £150 in total .in addition ,it has smart motion detection,if something happened, even if you are not at home ,don't worry and it will send signal to your smartphone or PC to let you know .I didn't upgrade (1200 TVL is good enough for me ) and it still works great .
