**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

So still looking for a new phone and unfortunately although this is overkill I can't find another phone with all the features I want.
Just seems like such a waste when a 200 pound phone is plenty good enough but none have
What I want

What features do you need your phone to have? Big screen/small screen? Good camera? etc

These days its either a big phone with all the specs, or a small phone thats been gimped in one way or another. They dont tend to make a small phone that has top quality components, except maybe the iPhone 6S.

Just dual facing stereo speakers
Good battery and/or fast charge
Curved back
Rgb nled
Bright screen I can use outside
1080p if possible
3gb ram
64gb storage or micro USB
5-5.5 inch preferable

The things you usually pay for
Big screen
Hi res
Latest cpu
Cutting edge camera

Are ask things I don't need

I don't care about cpu or latest android updates

Main issue is usually stereo speakers + big battery + nled

Unfortunately a lot of phones have a flat back for style now.. I find these really uncomfortable

I'm not gonna pretend to know every phone out there currently, but the first thing that comes to my head with a curved back & front facing speakers is Motorola Moto X (check their website, theres a few variations but they're quite well priced too)

Theres quite a few Chinese phones out there that are surprisingly well made for not a lot of cash. Theres a massive thread here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18669811 I'm sure someone could point you in a good direction if you wanna go that route.

To be fair, that is rather specific. Not many phones have dual front facing, not many have curved backs. They are intentionally designing them not to have curved backs. Chances of one with both are slim... but as said above, I think you've actually described a Moto X. I forget what screen that has.

Did the Moto G 2nd gen have dual front facing speakers?

I hate how uncomfortable the Sony z series are. Literally holding them for a couple of minutes I find them uncomfortable.

LG G4 ticks a lot of those boxes, it doesn't have stereo speakers but the rear speaker is still one of the best I've heard on a phone

Idk, The Nexus 6p will last you much longer then a £200 phone, if a £400 phone latests twice as long then its worth it. Not only that but I really do think its the best big phone out right now.

Annoyingly i have my first physical damage to my 6P. :(
Two dents in the back at the top, on the chamfered edge, no idea where they came from. :(

What USB-A to USB-C cables are recommended?
I just tried one i bought a few months ago, plugged into a normal USB 2 port and the phone reads "charging rapidly" on the lock screen, and "charging USB" in the battery menu
Plugged into my Nexus6 Turbo Charger, it reads charging rapidly and charging AC.
Thats with this cable.
