Cheapo 128GB MicroSD Cards?

I received a Linx 1010 for Christmas (surprisingly good quality!) and I've fast running out of space on it 32GB storage drive. I was going to get a MicroSD card.

I've seen there are cheapo "Class 10" MSD cards on the bay for less than a tenner. I assume these will only just make class 10, i.e. 10mbps read and write, whereas more expensive branded ones will be 40+mbps.

I will be installing apps (i.e. games) on the microSD card. Will I need as fast as I can get, or would a 'standard' 40mbps be sufficient, or would even an unbranded 10mbps one be sufficient (how fast is an old IDE HDD?) bearing in mind I'll only be playing basic games.

I was looking at the Linx 1010 earlier, pretty sure I read that it only takes up to a 64GB card.

Unless you're in a real hurry to get one now, then hold out and keep an eye out at Argos. I bought my Sandisk class 10 one there for £35, but I've seen it go for £29.99. Absolute bargain.

I've had a 128GB card in my 1010 and it worked fine.

It was a Sandisk, though, so not sure if a cheapy one will work/work as well...

don't ever get SD or flashdrive off bay. Only exception would be if its an outlet of recognized retailer.

SanDisk or Samsung cards only for me. Just for peace of mind.

My latest one is a 200GB jobbie.

These are more likely to be 2mbps and only have a 4GB capacity along with being made out of defective components.

Buy memory cards and the like from reputable retailers and not some person selling them cheaply.

Where ever you get it form even places like the rainforest suffer from fakes check its not fake by filling up up to capacity.

Seems like a great idea getting a cheap card off ebay, until all your data disappears randomly. You might be lucky and get a decent one, but I'd rather pay the extra and get Samsung Evo cards from Rainforest directly (no marketplace sellers). Bought about four of the orange ones over the years and never had any problems.

Rainforest direct, then you won't have to worry about authenticity.

How do I do that? I've had a google but the ways of creating a virtual HDD seem to need me to go into Disk management every time I turn the tablet on!
