Why are all the pharmacies shut?

Interesting question. Mrs. Feek works at a very small branch of Boots and they were open normal Sunday hours today so 10:00 to 16:00. I'd imagine most Boots were open the same.

While walking through Ipswich earlier I saw both their Boots branches were open so that's 100% of Boots surveyed.

I myself worked 4pm to midnight on Christmas Eve.

You need to look out for 100 hour pharmacies - usually open 16 hours a day Mon-Sat and 6 hours Sunday.

I appreciate not always possible for acute meds but if regular chronic meds try sort your prescription out earlier the week before Christmas.

You buy food timely so you don't starve - you also obtain meds timely so you don't get ill.

My dad was a Pharmacist for over 55 years, their will be one open in your area, though not always your local one, as said they take turns around areas who is open that year.

Many of the places simply cannot be open, a lot of deliveries are made during the day for prescriptions etc, these are down over the holiday time.

Also, GPs are shut, a lot of the time their would be back and forth calls to clinics to check on whats being handed out etc.

Imagine people actually wanting a holiday at Christmas, while still providing cover and emergency cover on a rota basis during busy periods and holiday times.
There would be someone open, as there is every single day of the year.
