I would say the Chrome one looks the best, but would leave finger prints/smudges and what not more visible. Based on that, I'd go with the 50th anniversary one.

Some BMW's have that I think. Clubsports.

Some nice examples if you do a search for backlit/illuminated gear knob. :)

Oh, and some not so nice examples too.

Only M cars have that yeah. Just reminded me in fact. the replacement knob I got doesn't have the light up feature, can utilise that cable for a 12v socket in the armrest mod :cool:
 
I think this really depends on what knob you prefer to have in your hand Gibbo.

The great thing is that you have a lot of knobs to choose from so you can try out the feel of a different knob until you find a knob that feels right for you.
