New year's resolutions

packing in the smokes and booze.....January gonna be a fun month to be around me!
I wish you all the best, I stopped in September. The nicotine may be gone after 3 days, but it wasn't until the third month that I stopped getting caught off guard by pangs. Now any pangs I get are genuine hunger feelings.

Edit: I wouldn't recommend doing both, especially if you don't want to be doing it. If there are no immediate health reasons, drop the fags first and work on booze later

Nerrrrrr you don't need to wait to New Years to improve your life neeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!

Lose weight I think - I have porked on perhaps a stone and a half this year. No longer the slender ab machine I once was (they called me the abinator to my face - **** behind my back).

Smokes ditched yesterday, next stop exercise.

Oh and trying to drink more water throughout the day. I barely manage a pint some days.

Hitting both at the same time is probably the best way to do it, beer and fags go too well together, and when you get drunk you'll end up caving anyway.

For me, I plan on doing keto properly, hitting the gym, all for good reasons with an end game to it all of jumping out of a plane for charity.

Haven't had any issues with drinking and not smoking this time, as I haven't had a single night out with anyone who does since I stopped. Granted every time I've stopped in the past, alcohol has been the reason I started again.

Usual loose a bit of a weight.

Will be doing 5:2 again as its the only thing that seems to work for me without dropping food groups.

Mrs has recently found out she has an intolerance to yeast - which it turns out is in everything!

So she's going on a special diet and I've said I'll do the same to help support her.

Make more memories with the awesome people in my life and meet more (sounds schmaltzy I know but this is basically what I made more of an effort to do in the last year and I've been happier for it).

Try online dating as frankly trying to meet nice guys in the 'real world' is practically a non starter and has fairly poor results lol.

EDIT: these aren't really resolutions, more just ongoing things I'm doing :)

more power to the people that make these and stick to them, personally find that forced attempts to changed like this never stick. half of you lot will be in the pub feb 1st saying 'maybe next year'.

plan to make your life better throughout the year not just on one day...
