Hey guys,

I logged onto my secondary email address the other day and my emails just vanished. Everything has disappeared and whilst I can still send emails on it I can't actually receive them. Ive checked my settings and tehy are all still on defaults so it should be functional.

Any ideas?

Is this on your phone?

If so, make sure that the mailbox is looking at ALL messages, and is not set to stop presenting them after X amount of time.

Having upgraded my phone recently, this became apparent!

Its on my PC.

Strangely my phone is able to see emails from a while back but its not displaying anything new and wont receive anything whereas my PC browser wont show anything and again doesn't receive anything.

I would go to gmail but theres incredible hassle in making sure all the important stuff is transferred like banks and stuff.

just stick a forwarder on your hotmail so anything that gets sent there is automatically forwarded onto gmail and delete. Job done.

I thought I fixed the issue by going from Chrome to Firefox. But I woke up today and now Firefox is doing the same.

I can only think its some sort of malware or something on my browser? Strange how its only happening to one email address though. Ive got anothe email address on hotmail and its been fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

Think it's more a problem with your PC / browser than with the provider. I've migrated from Hotmail to Outlook years ago and never had a problem. Sadly / happily (depending on the mail) I've got stuff going back years.

Suggest you clean up / reinstall Windows on your PC and then try again. You can always request the emails back if they have disappeared (i.e. you've used the same passwords for multiple accounts and one of those accounts have had issues and some malicious type has removed them all - though saying it was working yesterday suggests more of an issue with your PC).
