Yeah they'll be open, last year my local was so busy people were standing outside and spilling onto the path, it was packed.

yeah Friday night it will be business as usual if anything that weekend they will be open earlier/later.

I worked in a club that normally only did 10pm-3am

then on new year we would open 12 noon through till 6am and this was in a little town so your friend will have nothing to worry about
