Does anyone have any suggestions on brands/fit of jeans that would cope with larger thighs and calves. I know i will have to go try some on but a starting point would be helpful. I have bought multiple pairs this this and always have the same issue.

Latest pair I tried were a Marks and spencer relaxed fit and had the same issue. I had a load of wranglers that I bought in the states years ago but they don't have any details of style.

Cheers

Brilliant cheers guys I will check out the Levi 541 they sound perfect and also the Gap ones.

Not sure anything with Slim fit in the name will cut the mustard!

Exactly same problem as you. All I ever buy now are Timberland. Very well made too unlike many others. Skinny fit can go do one as far as I'm concerned. Made up by the clothing manufacturers to save money on cloth yet charge the same price.

Yeah it's a stupid name imo. I've got rather large legs from taekwondo so hefty thighs and calves but no backside yet they fit well.

As mentioned, Levi 541 are described as "Athletic fit" because they're quite a lot larger in the thighs. I tried a pair on a few weeks ago and they really are much bigger so I'd say they're worth a punt if you've got a Levi shop/stockist nearby.

I found Levi 562s okay. Had to go a size up still. They don't seem to stock them anymore, though.

OP, I feel your pain on this, I really do. :p

Lot of options to choose from cheers and plenty of Levi jeans mentioned. So maybe a trip to their store is in order. Hopefully my search for the holy grail of jeans will end soon, then I will buy a dozen! If I enjoyed shopping I guess it wouldn't be so bad but I hate it!

Just to update got a few pairs of Gap 1969 and Next Loose, two shops I probably would not have thought of without your suggestions. Cheers guys I am comfy again!

Jack Jones "anti-fit" jeans. I used to be a climber so have large calf muscles compared to the size of my leg. The anti fit jeans have a strange taper which manage to hide this while still maintaining the illusion of a thinner leg.

I've been wearing Gap 1969 jeans, available in various fitting styles and not too bad wearing either.

They used to do 1" increments as well if I recall.

I know how you feel op, I always struggle to get jeans that fit. My only choice at the moment are the Next own brand bootcut jeans - they are only £20 though but you do get what you pay for (last about a year or two tops).

Next straight fit are good. They are a bit stretchy too. Not in the elasticated waistband kind of way, either.

Just got a pair of Diesel 'Jog Jeans' or some such, without a doubt the most comfy pair of anything I have, they're very stretchy and look just like normal jeans.
