Has my Graphics card died?

Have you tried reseating your video card? In addition, have you updated your video card drivers recently?

Do you get graphical corruption before loading Windows(in bios or when in safe mode)?

I FOUND THE LOGIN OF MY OLD ACCOUNT Yay!

How do I reset a video card? They were updated not long ago, but had no problems since the latest drivers.

No, only got the corruption on windows login screen, desktop and in game. never through the bios or in safe mode.

I installed a Nvidia GTX 560 for the time being, its seem to be ok at the moment, though the fan is loud when playing CSGO.

So I guess what is a suitable replacement for my GPU that died, I want to go for a Nvidia as I was unhappy with AMD for not releasing any patches to fix issues on Windows 10.

What do you guys recommend, my budget I guess is around £200 and my spec is;

Power Supply:Cool Master GX550 Lite
OS: Windows 7
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z77-3DH
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
Memory: Vengeance 8GB
Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate
Video Card: N/A

Remove the card from the PCI-E slot and install it again. You could also revert back to an older driver to see if the problem persists.

EDIT: PC fine so far, will test with the GTX 560, if no blue screen of death I guess we only assume it was the Radeon HD 7870 OC?

Ok after some hours of gaming my PC has been fine, no glitch, no crash and no blue screen of death.

Is it safe to say it was my GPU died?

I will make another post advising on a new GPU.

Thank you for the help I got.

It does point to the gpu - artifacts and and trying another gpu coursed no issues.

Not sure if you mentioned, what psu are you using - seen in your opening post.

Yes sounds like the GFX card to me after the tests you have done so far.

If it's within warranty then get the card RMA'd.

If it's out of warranty, then I think you should buy yourself a lovely new Nvidia GTX 970 like one of these... :D

To quote from another thread:

[...]For 1080p gaming you can look at the more modestly priced 380 cards including a few on special offer for £150 at the moment. I'd be avoiding Nvidia cards all across this price range as they lack the raw performance compared to the AMD cards.

So the R9 380 has better performance than a GTX 960, but either of those would be able to play games in 1080p at 50-70FPS on high/ultra, and potentially 100-144FPS at high/medium, depending on the game. (144FPS on CS:GO for example at max settings, certainly.) And that ~£50 you save could be spent on an equally substantial upgrade like a 250GB SSD.

On the other hand, if you're willing to spend £250 or over, there is a GTX 970, which is again beaten slightly by a 390 (but you might need a PSU upgrade for peace of mind). Either of those would handle many more games at a comfortable 144FPS on higher/est 1080p settings, and the 970 also falls under Nvidia's entry point for "VR Ready" cards, but it all depends on your budget and priorities.

Ultimately, just go with your gut feeling. If you're happy with the 560, stick with it, if you're willing to wait a few months until Polaris/Pascal. Or go with either of the cards listed above - just don't consider the 380X, as the jump in performance compared to the 390 isn't enough to warrant the ~£50 price difference compared to either of its more/less powerful siblings. And if you do go with a more powerful card, be sure to check that your case is compatible first, because some of these cards can be up to 30cm long - 2cm longer than your current card. :)
