No Direct3D 12 Support for Fermi Based Geforce Graphic Cards Yet – Could Land in Q1 2016

up coming titles i know off, fable, deux ex, ashes, i also heard rumors at some point that some released games might patch for DX12 compatibility, like the witcher 3 and Arma3, but haven't heard anything since for almost a year now.
i wonder if the new tomb raider will be DX12, since that is the API used for xbox.

Don't forget Gears of War UE, expected before March 2016 I believe ;)

Could end up being Microsofts flagship DX12 game too I would think.

at 30fps maybe... not what most people would aim for though

Coupled with a relatively recent i7 (which would be a bit of an unusual combination on desktop) "mostly" high settings runs fairly well in SWBF - gave it a quick whirl on my GTX675m laptop which is basically an underclocked GTX560 but closer to desktop 570 with the clocks I'm running it at. Really talking barrel scraping stuff though :S

End of the day though I'm really not expecting any of my Fermi based GPUs to be particularly useful once DX12 lands properly so I don't see it as a big deal.

Just checked

My GTX 590s in quad SLI on the Heaven 4 bench score about the same as a single GTX 980.

Then there is the 1.5gb VRAM limit on the cards which is going to be no use with any new DX12 games.

Don't forget memory changes will mean that will be used as 6 gb's so basically DX12 will turn them into a 6gb 970ti

Very much looking forward to this game. Just hope Microsoft don't mess it up?

I would hope not, if it gets a good reception I fully expect the PC to see more Xbone 'exclusive' titles come over, rumors are already swirling for GoW4 to hit the PC shortly after the xbox release :)

The only question is how will microsoft deliver it, no more GFWL (thank god!) means outside of the windows store they don't really have an outlet platform for serious PC games. Personally I think we'll see an evolution of the windows 10 xbox app or something along those lines.

Exciting times :D

I am really looking forward to TR and hopefully a game that can drag me away from ED for a little bit :D Weird how Nvidia is sponsoring this TressFX enabled game but whatever :)
