How much do you spend on food a week?

I used to be stupid when buying food on the way to work, i'd have no problem buying a sandwich, crisps, chocolate and a drink everyday, if i remember it cost around £6, give or take a few pence.

Now i buy the rolls with cheese on top, 4 for 69p i think it is, slices of beef or ham, cheaper and just as filling.

For me and the missus per week it would be about £20. A once a month big shop would be maybe £35. Oh and that is inclusive of all the stuff like bog rolls/kitchen rolls and bleach etc etc

You need to teach me the secret of how you achieve this! :D

I reckon I spend about £70-£80 a week on food for the two of us.

Rubbish. £20 a week for two people? £10 each a week? Including household items cleaners, tissues, loo roll?

I would say that is nigh on impossible unless you have beans on toast for every meal.

Nothing on lunches while working as its free, but at home for myself and my parrot. Maybe 30 quid a week. Food is fairly costly for me as I avoid most grain and starch foods and buy mainly eggs, meat, dairy (cream and cheese) and fresh veg.

I can easily go through a 300ml pot of cream or block of cheese in a few days. Philadelphia doesn't last 5 minutes in my place. Made a cheese cake today with a whole tub of philly, it was gone within a few hours ;)

Roughly £200 per month for 2 adults. Sometimes a little more, sometimes less. Try to shop smartly; don't bother with brands, batch cook and buy whatever is the veg/meat/fruit of the week etc

It depends, an average of about £40 per week. With it going up to £60 some weeks for toiletries and house hold cleaning products when needed.

£70-£90 for 3 people.

I cant see how some people can spend so little on food. A mate spends £30 between 2 people, it seems impossible to me, must just have cheap oven chips every day...

About £80-90 per week for 2 adults, including cleaning stuff, dog food and things like milk/nappies for the baby. Plus around another £20 a week in lunches between us.

We could quite easily cut that down, but on the other hand could easily spend more. If we wanted to cut back I reckon I could do £60-65 a week including lunches taken with us every day whilst still eating reasonable meals made freshly

At work, nothing. Its all free, 3 meals a day with snacks and goodies in between.
At home man that's a different story, about £300 - £400 PM for a family of 4, eat out way too much as well but I like to spend time out with the family :D

Yep this is pretty much me. Some weeks 50 on food though when I have to stock up on meat :D Trying to continue bulking up

Probably about £50 a week including takeaway, but I then get free breakfast and lunch at work.

Meat adds to the price, but white fish helps keep the cost down.

Maybe they do, but not necessarily. For 2 you could have a bowl of porridge and 2 eggs on a slice of wholemeal each for a week for a few pounds.

Tuna mayo or cheese and onion sandwiches to take work again for less than a tenner.

Evening meal made in batches, could easily do 10 portions for £10 (I just did a pasta bake with my own pork meatballs that comes to about £1 a portion).

If eating healthy for £30 a week for 2, he's doing it from scratch, processed food costs. And he probably isn't counting some meals out / takeaway at the weekends. Although obviously he could stretch it if needed.

Personally I'm probably around £30 a week on my own, if you include the things I don't buy all the time like herbs, spices, stock etc. Closer to £20 if just the things I need for that week.
