For crying out loud..... I don't have enough money for all of this **** that I need (want).

Conti 4000s II tubs down to 54 a pop also. Stop it Wiggle!

Kind of annoying (though understandable) that all the single tyre options are so expensive. Almost makes it worth me just buying a pair of them and having a spare sat around, especially as they're only about £5 each more expensive than P4E v2s.
 
See now this is the issue as I'll want to take them off occasionally for cx! I'm guessing that's the easy bit. Went to chop them earlier and hacksaw died!

The hardest part is bending the stays to the right shape, cutting them down and then attaching the guards to them. It's not a huge amount of effort to remove the entire guard from the guard mounts on the bike though.

Ha ha! My first set were such a faff that I shoved them in the garage to sort out another time. I then lost the fittings and put a load of stuff on them that caused them to deform. Second set went on in a mere half a day ;) :p

Haven't touched them since though and they haven't caused any issues at all.
 
You buggers never told me this! Off round my old mans this morning to go nick a tool of some sort. Luckily the weather is dire today and probably won't ride!
 
Well, managed to get out but with the horrendous weather and both me and my riding partner both being ill with various things we cut the ride short and managed just over 50 miles rather than the planned 100. Pretty slow riding too but despite all that it was good to get back on the bike. Time for a shower, some tasty coffee and then some lunch.
 
went down to my local bike jumble today. Picked up a brand new Shimano R650 caliper for a tenner. Just as my tektro on the kinesis starts creaking too...

There are about a billion other factors will affect your average speed (especially over a course of a year) so I wouldn't read too much into it to be honest. As people said when you mentioned an average speed target a while back - it's a bit of an odd metric :)
