Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 7th January 2016]

How much have these commentators been paid to be positive about Rooney? They have not said a single negative remark about him, it's dodgy as hell. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

Him and Mane agitating for moves? :p

Honestly at this point in the season, wouldn't mind seeing them go. Wanyama is too bullish too often, Mané causes trouble but doesn't actually make enough from it. Both ought to go for good money that we could invest elsewhere.

That was actually a really nice finish from Rooney. Kind of explains his form. Hes been building up to that goal for a while.

That should be a second yellow right there. Wailing in pain until the ref waves play on and then literally bolts up and screams at him.

Commentators now talking about how that is world class. Anyone can stick their leg at a ball that is behind then and pray for the best. Problem is that if someone flukes a goal commentators will bang on about it being a good performance just because he got a goal. The rest of his awful performance will be ignored, it has most of the year when he doesn't score.

If you go with the write off option, the significant changes wouldn't happen until the summer anyway, would they? Signings being made, people like Markovic coming back from loan, and Ings being fit ready for pre season, no?

The main issue regarding the style and way we play is Benteke. He's not capable of providing the energy and movement that Klopp wants - if it comes to it then you just have to stick Firmino, Lallana or even some kid from the reserves up there to provide that movement and energy so it allows the rest of the team to play the way Klopp wants.

Good reliable BBC Sport football news feed....
