Hi,
I decided last year to sell my PC in order to purchase an Xbox One and a Laptop. The main reason for this was because I no longer liked sitting at a computer desk in a different room for hours on end. I love the Xbox One and really enjoy sitting in a living room playing games on the TV, I just find it very sociable.

I have now got to the stage where I want my computer back. I love building them and I love tinkering with them. After all that's why we're all here at OcUK isn't it?

So what I'm asking is for some advice on building a computer that will be used on my living room TV. I will be playing games on the computer which will more than likely be mmo's such as lotro etc. I have a 43" 1080p TV and sit about 8 - 10 feet away from it normally.

I currently own a Synology and my intention is to sell that and use the new computer I build to act as a server.

Would Windows 10 Pro be ok to act as a server OS and run a gaming PC too?

I am thinking along the lines of an matx motherboard with a gtx 980 or similar.

I suppose what I am asking is what are people views on this and do any of you have a similar setup?

Any input would much appreciated, thanks.

Do you have a budget and do you need a specific type of case to go in a certain space ?

The case can be no more than 45cm wide, 30cm deep and 17cm high.

Not entirely sure on the budget as I haven't discussed costs with the missus' ;) but I want mid to high range components.
