Evening all,

after some advice on planning a stag do for a friend....

Basically he is lazy, unfit, and doesn't do any competitive sports.

He has stipulated the following criteria:

No activities. (although i think, depending on the activity) i can sway his decision.

The party of friends invited are all very active and love doing all sorts ranging from football, biking, squash, go-karting, paint balling, air soft, mini moto racing, dodge ball ( the list is endless) nearly all of us are up for pretty much anything.

The issue i have here is not wanting to let the main bulk of the group down with a boring stag do, yet i also want to be considerate to the stags request.

I am basically after some out of the norm suggestions to see if i can convince him to change his mind and keep the others happy.

We are all based in and around London and herts/beds/bucks. But could be willing to travel if the costs are not too high (some of the party have families etc. so want to be considerate of the costs involved).

Any help would be appreciated here as i am really struggling for ideas.

Date is pencilled in for June 4th of this year so not too much time left to get the ball rolling.

HELP! (and thanks in advance)

You really think a group of activity driven guys is going to be happy with just the pub?

Thats pretty much what happens almost every Friday night for these lot ...

Do something where you can do quads, karts and shooting for a few hours.

Stag do doesn't have to be about competition... just have some fun.

So what does he like, start with that.

Thats the thing he literally does nothing.

He works Monday-Sat and spends the rest of his time with his misses and 2 children (one is three years old and tbe other is 6 months old)

He has no hobbies, he follows no sports, and he goes to the pub every friday after work.

Me and four mates are leaving for a European bike trip on 4 June. We could take the stag and deposit him somewhere in France that night. He can sit and drink beer in the pub with us, whilst you active lot have to come and find him.

this is not a genuine offer

if he doesn't like playing sports then I'd be more inclined to find something where you don't have to run around

go karting could be a good choice

as could clay pigeon shooting

if he's really lazy then the shooting thing could be a great choice as an activity that doesn't require much activity, can still sit around chatting with mates while waiting for your turn etc...

other thing is you could do something like a butchery course - learn to cut meat, make sausages etc... other guys would probably find it interesting and your fat lazy mate doesn't have to run anywhere.... plus he probably likes food anyway :p

He hates go karting .... dont ask me why, the rest of us all love it.

:D

Karting, bowling (we did both as the first afternoon's events for my best mates' stag weekend) there are places you can do both so have a look around. The off road buggy/quad racing places are also supposed to be great, although I've not done it.

Then I'd suggest find a interesting venue for a night out, preferably in a city you've not been to before. We did the Bierkeller which was a fantastic night, and something far more memorable than just a night in a pub.
