awkward stag requirements

By the sounds of it this guy is opposite to myself. But then I doubt I'd have a friend quite so boring

Another vote for shooting. For my stag we did clay pigeon shooting, pistol crossbows, some wonderfully insane BB machine pistols (huge rate of fire), air-rifle sniping and axe throwing. We then went for a nice curry and few beers where we could chat (some of us hadn't physically been in the same room for a decade!). It was a great night and everyone had a great time.

You can't get much more fun without fitness than shooting for a stag do.

Not if you knew how little he worked when he is at work.... Remember I know this man very well (I am his best man after all) I can assure you he is lazy - not exhausted ;)

In addition to this some of our work hard and have kids too you know (myself included) - and IMO the hobbies are needed to keep the sanity and health levels up.

Glad you know him better than I do though! :D

------

For an update i have worn down his complete rejection of activities - so just need to pick something that i think he will enjoy that isn't paint balling and go karting.

He has been to Go APE before and didn't enjoy it.

He hates water sports (so rafting etc is out of the question)

Thanks for the suggestions so far though! If you think of anything else keep them coming.

OK fair enough.

What about a sky dive?

Shooting is also pretty good fun.

Dirt buggy driving (also known as offroad karting) - its karting with a difference :p

Tank driving

Tank paintball!!!!!!!11 (http://www.armourgeddon.co.uk/tank_battles.php) :D

Namco on the South Bank

Pool, arcade games, bowling, loads of bars with drinks and food. Job done

we had a christmas party there a few years back, the arcades are rubbish now compared to back in the day - its a sad thing that datona and outrun 2 haven't been bested for driving games

Does he like gambling? Go to the horses which is fun and involves drinking (which he likes)

or go to the darts (again drinking)

Clay pigeon shooting, axe throwing, escape rooms.
Failing those: Pub golf

Also been to a casino evening with some training at the start on how the games work etc for the newbies.

Order a pizza, some doritos and a couple of DVDs for the blushing husband to be so he can have a cosy night in with while the rest of you go go-carting, surfing, paintball or whatever.

you know those set up zombie events?

blind fold him take him there and then suddenly have the zombies appear and run at him

I would pay money to watch that.

As update further down the thread he has actually said he doesn't mind an activity as long as its not paintballing or go karting or similar.

keep the suggestions rolling though, some good ones so far!

What about Zipworld near Snowdon? I understand its not strenuous (we're going in the summer) and if its a weekend, there might be clay pigeon shooting or archery nearby.

The zombie thing is a good idea. Got that planned too. I think its near Gloucester. A load of zombies running at you that you get to beat the crap out of with batons and riot shields (although they don't take prisoners).

A friend mentioned a game using the London Underground about getting to locations first, a bit like a treasure hunt. Not much in the way of physical activity and pubs along the way. Maybe someone else knows about this too?

I went there last year, did Titan and Bounce Below. Both great fun and other than a wee bit of walking between the zip slides there isn't that much to it, so anyone who meets the weight requirements could do it. Wish I'd done Velocity instead of one of the other activities now though, looked great fun. A few nice pubs in Betws-y-Coed too.
