Hi, no worry, we are aware of all changes that do happen in that direction. The unit you can see on the picture is a preproduction sample for show purposes and was already done some while ago...

Must admit, this is a really good idea.

If I can SLI this card with my current reference 980ti then I will probably buy one. Though I suppose there is a good chance we'll see "VR ready" versions of Pascal cards before the year is out as well.

Kinda neat, not sure if all that useful though.

Rather depends how accessible the back panel of your PC is, and whether you can keep the Oculus connected when not in use.

I'll be using mine on a PC that is tucked away neatly in the front room, so being able to conveniently connect, disconnect and store a headset is very appealing. That and I want a 2nd 980TI anyway.

When are these due for release? In line with the Rift?

Whats wrong with buying a usb hud for say a fiver from amazon and using that. Talk about jumping on the VR bandwagon and bringing out something that they will probably charge £100 more for when in reality should cost no more than a fiver.

this is really a good idea, a lot of ppl have issues with the number of free USB ports they have left.
still think it would have been better if you could install it on the back panel instead, ppl usualy dont have free front panel, and most cases have only 2.

At least they are overcharging after actually adding something practical, whereas Asus they just add £100 to their already overpriced card just by calling them "Gold Edition" :D

So far pricing and ETA is not fixed but it should release soon and price increase should also be reasonable. It is really depending on your own setup at home. For some people it is might usefull, for others might be better to connect everything at the rear of the system... It is just an option for those who want it and not a requirement.

Okay genuine question, given that the majority of decent cases available today have two (+) USB3.0 ports that connect via an internal connector to the MB where on earth are the USB3.0 ports on this going to connect to?

Are MB's coming with more than one USB3.0 internal connector now?

It would have been far better to see this as a small external hub device than can either be hidden away or sat on the desk next to your monitors. The device shown looks a tad, er, naff.

I don't even have any drive bays on my case (I didn't want any) where does that leave me if I wanted this?
