Why should students from other religions or non religious people be forced to change?

Why should anyone be forced to follow these arbitrary timings that were plucked out of thin air many moons ago?

As long as it doesn't bring the exams forward then it's all good isn't it?

Even if it does, everyone is on the same footing and they will adjust the pass mark accordingly.

It does move, that is the reason this change has been made.

Isn't this a non-story ? The exam dates are arbitrary that is to say they are not the same every year so shifting exams around within the exam season will have zero net impact.

In terms of fairness to the way it runs now, no its not unfair.

In perspective of education yes it is unfair, education should be secular.

I didn't get extra days to study! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! this will make a complete mockery of the whole GCSE it is the most important qualification one can hold I have all of mine pinned around my desk so people can see my intelligence

Maybe we're all too nice, the point here is why should we have to re-schedule.
To be clear, it means the UK exam timetable is set according to others beliefs...wonder if they would do the same?

I wish they moved the exams so it doesn't coincide with the damn hay fever season. I remember sitting all my exams with severe streaming nose, puffy eyes, asthma wheezes and about 3 hrs sleep.

For a child of 15/16 to try and concentrate and have to deal with all that I would say move the damn exams to a cold month. EVIL !!
