Budget gaming build £500

Hi guys my mate wants me to build him a gaming system but he has a budget of £500, he doesn't need any peripherals which helps.

I would like him to have a corsair case preferably, basically try and get the best hardware for the price given its purely for gaming. Thanks
 
To be honest at that budget I think you're better off skrimping on the case and putting the money towards a better cpu/gpu.


a friend of mine has asked the same thing around the same budget.
I'm no expert, been out of the loop for a while but some thing around this spec maybe?
OC the cpu for a boost and you've got an ok budget gaming rig? possibly?

How about an i3 build?

Power supply made by Seasonic with a 5 yr warranty. GTX960 which trades blows with the R9 380 all day long and 240gb SSD

Even if I overclock the CPU I'm worried that it will bottleneck the graphics card?
