Call of Duty Veterans!!!

Well just an update from me - got COD4 yesterday at midday

Started to do mile high club on veteran at around 10PM, did it solidly for 3 and half hours till half 1, continued today from midday till 3pm and got to the end for my first time (and got the achievement ) at about 3 o clock! :D

People on my friends list cant believe I got it in 6 hours - I didn't think it was THAT tough but it was annoying... onto veteran now :D

I did all of CoD4 veteran first time rather than having to go through it on normal, probably a big mistake =/. I also got mile high club after a good few hours.

completed call of duty 2 on veteran and didn't find it that hard except the last level. that one was a strugle

completed call of duty 4 on harden then on veteran. it was hard and frustrating but it was easier second run through.

To update this thread - I completed COD4 on Veteran last night so I've done both 3 & 4 now. 4 was SO much easier than 3!

There were only a couple of bits I got stuck on really - including a bit in "No Fighting In The War Room" which had me repeating it for about an hour :(

I'd rather stab my own eye out than play CoD on veteran, that's the kind of stress I don't need.

agreed

The enemis fire Rifles at SMG speed, with no recoil and 100 % accuracy.

You go down with 1 bullet, and to really make it pointless, your AI team mates are neither use nor ornament.

Veteran diffculty makes it pointless, its no more challenging, just frustrating.

I've done 3 and 4, just working my way through 2 at the moment. Seems ok, not really got stuck on any bits yet -only at 5 of 13 achievement wise though. Even if a level is tricky you soon learn where they will be coming from, the hardest bits of any COD games are the open parts

People Hate 3 but I liked it, admittedly it was the first game I played on my Xbox360 and only had an N64 before that. Its not as polished as 2 and 4 are. I remember the last level on 3, that was really annoying. COD4 is simply awesome IMO, great SP that doesnt drag on.

I have to agree with some and say that the AI on cod 4 are totally ridiculous - when you turn a corner, within a millisecond - they shoot you. I didn't however find this in COD3, it took them a while to register that you were there and then shoot you.

There was this one particular bit in cod 4 on "No fighting in the war room" where you go through the silo room and you HAVE to go left or right, there is a guy at each end of each corridor and my god... I had to end up flashing one then firing a grenade down the other and hope it killed him - stupid stupid AI!

Its half term for me so I'm gonna bite the bullet and start COD2 soon - I'm worrying about it from some of the comments on here :(

Holy thread revival!!!!

I Currently have finished the following on Veteran/Realistic:

Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Plus Mile High Club)
Call of Duty: World at War
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Plus all Spec Ops)
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

All on Console.

I've just bought Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty: Classic for the Xbox 360 to try and complete the set lol

Anyone finished them all?

Veteran hasn't been challenging in CoD for years, I don't meant to come across as an Internet hard man but it's just not challenging these days. The last one I can remember being really difficult was World at War. Blowtorch and Corkscrew and the stupid Reichstag level...

Call of Duty World at War I completed on Veteran...

It was probably the most difficult thing I've done in my gaming life...

GRENADES EVERYWHERE, ALWAYS

I agree Blowtorch was insane.

I remember one Sunday was spent running up a hill for ~10 secs then meeting 3 MG42 setups resulting in death.. rinse and repeat for 4 hours..

BLOPS 3 on Realistic has some very trying sections.. probably the most torturous experience since blowtorch..

I also remember COD 3 in the trenches was very time consuming.
