Looking for a new kitchen and have ripped the shoddy old one out. Where do people recommend? I'm on a budget of up to two grand. B&q will do their IT range for 2k including integrated cooker and hob.

I have how'd end coming next weekend...

It's Sipo much money for a bit of midfield or worse:/

What about IKEA? I need to buy a kitchen in the next year or two and from what I've seen IKEA appear to be good value for money. I compared the IKEA kitchen I wanted to the closest option price-wise in B&Q and IKEA won hands down :D

This may be silly, but have you checked gumtree? I know a few people in work who got kitchens out of a house that may be a year old. People selling them due to defaulting etc. Of course pot luck if you find one within the same size etc.

I had a look just for curiosity the other day and there was a magnet kitchen, 3 years old and still in the current catalogue going for £650. It looked pristine too.

I know someone that has just got an IKEA one and she says its very good but be warned that the fittings are differnt. IKEA love to be differnt!
I read this too, apparently the units are flat at the back so any pipework that runs above the base level would have to come through the units or you would need to modify the backs yourself.
