Thinking ahead to the impending new GPU's if I was to go for Pascal I'd probably buy an EVGA card. If I went for an AMD card which manufacturer/warranty comes closest to the standards of EVGA?

Think Gigabyte have UK RMA? Are their cards up to EVGA quality? Rightly or wrongly I've always had the impression EVGA was in the MSI Lightning territory for quality or have I just fallen for the marketing? :)

I think Sapphire make the best AMD cards IMHO,but Gigabyte have the best RMA being UK based.

Edit!!

Sapphire is a very, very old AMD partner too like EVGA is with Nvidia AFAIK.

I'm not sure if HIS does cards anymore as I haven't had one since the ancient 3770xt times but they used to have some of the quietest coolers I've ever seen (the iceQ ones). Other than that it will be whatever has a decent pricetag/cooler on it.

I've had EVGA 6600GTX and it was nothing spectacular so apart from their stupidly long warranty I don't know what the hype is all about. Ended up replacing the cooler with aftermarket one anyway.

My sapphire 290's going strong since they were launched :D (although technically mine are just reference, but sapphire stands by their name)

Well my last 3 Nvidia cards have been EVGA and as always absolute perfection. they also use the right amount of TIM. Also owning a MSI 390 i have a pose laying about recently about the amount of TIM used. The MSI cooler its self seems to be good quality but the tim in between it and the die caused a 20+c hike in temps. I can safely say that the MSI is not on the same level as the EVGA. Not that its bad its just not as good.

I cant help with your question so much as i have only owned a MSI "AMD" keep in mind that 90% of people will vote what they own however MSI was my choice of AMD card due to the decent reviews of their customer service. i dont think any one comes close to EVGA's service in terms of GPU i have found them to be brilliant and for that reason will continue to use their products.

Gigabyte have the weakest coolers since 2XX/3XXseries along with Asus

Dunno what its like on the AMD cards but the GB coolers have been very good for me on nVidia cards - though they do seem to have some batches now and again with less than ideal fitting of the heatsink/poor TIM application.

Sapphire is the best current card maker for AMD. I've owned quite a few Sapphire and quite a few MSI AMD cards, After recent experiences I won't buy MSI again. I've also owned a few Asus and a couple of VTX models but again I won't buy another from either. Sapphire all the way.

On release an Overclockers staff member posted in a thread here saying they were not stocking Gigabytes 300 series cards because of poor quality. I see they now do a 380x and Fury models though.

Isn't it usually the case that for new cards (completely new, not the 300 series) all of the initial cards are reference only and essentially all the same?

In that case just go for the best RMA service.

I'm not sure why the big EVGA love-in to be honest. I agree they are among the best but their build quality is no better than MSI or Gigabyte and all three have three year warranties that go with the GPU rather than the original purchaser. Having owned all three within the past few years I would say the MSI Twin Fozr was overall better than the EVGA ACX and the Windforce GPUs.

Sapphire have good build quality and I would rate the Tri-X R9 Fury air cooler as the absolute best I have ever seen but their warranties and CS are poor in comparison. Two year warranty and only valid for the original purchaser. My recent experiences with warranty problems from Sapphire have been absolutely atrocious.
