***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I have one more model to build and a bit of reorganisation and tidying then I'll do some pics.

AT-AT is still in pieces but I'm hoping to rectify that soon

Thanks for replying. :) I be looking forward to see your collection once all been reorganized! A close shot of the Lego modular buildings would be awesome. :o

I did think about getting a picture of our stuff, probably over 100 sets now. I looked at it all thought about the origination required and got tired :D

I am trying to get my son to smash his models up (particularly the smaller stuff and battle packs) and put them all in one box and be one of those kids that just builds his own stuff or rebuilds but for the life of me I'm having no success.

Pictures or it didn't happen ! :p Seriously though, would be awesome to see some, if not all, of your sets. (Not to keen to try and shift through your, at present, 296 posts to see what you built. :p )

Awesome! Look forward to seeing it with the others. I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually... but I need to cool down a bit, this month has been expensive heh :p

Edit: Looks like some more info on the new Star Wars sets are showing up, doubt some of the details are definitive however... probably placeholders or something, but still! Interesting :)

I like most of them, if they are real I will probably pick up the x wing, turbo tank and hammerhead.

So guys what's the general consensus around boxes? To keep or not to keep?

A couple of weeks ago i purchased an old 80's/90's pirate ship that is in a box so now i feel obliged to keep it as its lasted so long... :o:D

But now i just bin them unless its a big set like my falcon/new pirate ship.

I collect a load, put all spares into one pot. Throw away the bags. Start from the smallest box and put it inside the next smallest as so on until it goes in the largest box. Then that goes into the loft covered. As you can imagine 100+ boxes sounds a lot but it's barely taking up 3-4 loft boards and all I do store up there is empty boxes for stuff I bought anyway.

Just finished building the VW Camper Van, an absolute joy to build, so much detail, my best build yet!

The thing I love about building lego, is seeing it though the stages, how bits connect to x y z and produce such and such part. Then seeing it slowly build shape :)

Low stock. The buildable figures have been hammered over the holidays, I've not been able to fine Greiveus or Vader anywhere.

I was in The Entertainer toy shop last week browsing for my son. I was only in there in about 10 mins but every customer coming through the door (about 12 people) was asking for Starwars Lego and they had none in stock.

I feel for the staff, I would make a sign for the door :p

You could just flat pack the boxes, keep the instructions in a drawer.

Yeah I suppose I could but I'm not looking for space really. Better still would be to fill the boxes with lost insulation ;)

I keep all the instructions in one big box in a bedroom. Apart from the Death Star as it's huge. I just have the PDF version of that.

My loft space is becoming limited now too. Tempted to reduce the volume by putting boxes in other boxes where possible. Good idea about the spares in a jar though, they are currently rolling around in the respective empty boxes.

I have most (not all) of my boxes in the loft, packed like Russian Dolls (smallest to largest) All the instructions are in a folder and the spares are in my 'Man Tin' :D

Only just gone and done it, brought the god of all sets the 10179 :D:D:D:D:D

Think i might sex wee a little bit when it turns up.....I will post pictures (Of the set that is lol)
