Just done a check on a car and the mot goes from 146k to 56k millage the next year?

Would assume it is a typo e.g. 35k then 146k then 56k, as others have spotted similar when using the site when it launched.

The history site is reasonably up to date though (with the exception of private plates which seem to cause issues for most of the online systems)

OV54TZZ is the reg thoughts ? Looks really dodgy to me.
I'm about to call Honda as he says it's been regular services with them so they should have it all on record.

Pedal rubbers worn would suggest to me it is well over the 100k mark for sure.

Doesn't seem particularly well looked after.

Unless it's advertised as 56k then I'd worry, if the advert is honest then it would just be a typo.

Quite clearly just missed the 1 off the start at the MOT station.

Edit:- 108->120->132->146->156 Seems pretty straight up except for the mistake.

What does the seller say the mileage is? If they are stating 156k then mot will be a typo, if they are claiming 56k, then either there is a logical explanation (e.g. replacement dashboard cluster or ecu - e.g. potentially acceptable as long as you have some paperwork), or there isn't a logical explanation and it has likely been clocked, cloned or otherwise dodgy.

Seller is saying it's at 56k and is genuine and has told me to call Honda to check it's service history.

Yeah the seller is either oblivious or is trying to con you. 100% incorrect mileage. Why do people even try this now? Surely everyone knows about the online mot history check by now?

Seems very oblivious to me haha.
I'm guessing the gov website pulls its info from the mot stations ? No way any mot station can typo that many times....

Thought it was clocked a long time ago haha just wanted to fully confirm. Just called Honda and last time it was serviced was 2013 with 132k miles on the clock!!
Some people!

You cannot rely on this data yet, there is or was a big bug in the way it handled private registrations or cars that had been fitted with them.

I checked one car and it clearly looked clocked - in reality it was the history of the first car to have a plate on it then the history of the next car added on top..

Honda confirmed when it was serviced...
