Hi guys.

Firstly. Yes the police are aware. I've done all the necessary steps.

Has anyone got any personal experience of assault and how it panned out for them?

What kinda punishment did you/or your attacker receive?

Any Broken jaw specific experience would also be appreciated :)

Lawyer costs could be greater than the returns from the attacker. A lawyer is only willing to work on a "No Win, No Fee" basis if they feel that they are going to get back their money.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience of what people are likely to be sentenced etc.

Best bet is to hang around outside your local county/district court tomorrow morning and ask the emerging weekenders what verdict they got.

I've already done that, it doesn't have any personal experiences. That's why I'm asking for personal experiences...
 
What happened and did you deserve it?

I was on the receiving end a long time ago it got dropped when they found out I was on the other side of the country at that time :D.
 
Got sucker punched. CCTV backed up my statement and the guilty person "feels bad" about it.

Yeah this is all underway, I was just curious what the attacker might receive to be honest. I understand lots of factors like prior record etc will dictate that, but just wondered if anyone had experienced similar.

Can only speak from second hand experience on this but my old manager at the nightclub got sucker punched caught on cctv and ended up with a dislocated jaw.

Ended up going to court as the guy denied doing it despite being immediately flattened and restrained by bouncers and quickly arrested. Court lasted about 3 hours guy ended up with a suspended sentence 3 years iirc and was banned from drinking for 12 months with regular testing. Along with paying associated fees. Must admit it felt like such a farce being in court as a witness when there's cctv of the whole thing.

Obviously that the dick feels bad for it he'll probably get off lighter. Guess he's admitted guilt by that statement alone.

Yeah the admission of guilt should make the process less of a ballache. It's all out of my hands anyway. Will just see how things pan out and take it on the chin :D

Heck if it was enough to break your jaw mate be thankful it's only a metaphorical ballache :D.

Well main thing is you're alive. Quite a few incidences of going down and not getting up.

Do you know why they did it?
