Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 19th January 2016]

Liverpool would have won this match 5 times over if they had a half decent striker on the pitch.

They'll probably bid for one of Southampton's misfiring but exciting looking forwards (cough Mané cough) in the summer and then get frustrated watching him tear apart every team in the league but constantly fluff the chances he creates. :p

**** off Benteke

**** me.

Well done Fellaini lol, somehow you did it :(

Shocker, we're a gegen****e version of Brendan's team.

Another abysmal performance. For all of the possession and fancy football we didn't create a single decent chance on goal. Klopp needs to admit we need to buy or come up with a plan B because the garbage he's delivering isn't good enough

Can't score and can't defend set-plays. It doesn't matter how well you play or how **** the opposition is, we're not going to win many games until we sort those 2 issues out.

some of me wanted to lose that game (to get rid of LvG) but those three points could be crucial to get top 4 (and keep Spurs looking over their shoulder)

2nd half was better but still pretty terrible - depay could have made the last 5-10 minutes a lot easier by passing earlier rather than hogging the ball and losing it.

the original chance , from Cann?, (where De Gea did a double save within seconds) was a very good chance - admittedly the 2nd was very wide and hard to score

Otherwise meh

Looks rather pleased lol

Really poor game of football from both teams. Will always take a win at Anfield regardless of the performance. Both teams have a lot to do to bring back their respective glory years.

The problem is buying someone when they have Sturridge/Origi/Ings all injured. Buying someone else means giving up on at least one of them, or buying a stopgap, when the ideal targets might not even be available in January.
Sturridge is a crock and needs to be written off. Love him but I would trust Rolf Harris with my nephew before him to stay fit for the season.
