Sniper Investigated for 'lack of warning'

Lol really is pathetic. Kinda defeats the purpose of a sniper if he has to shout a warning.

'oh sir, please excuse me but could you politely decist in pointing that weapon of death and destruction towards my colleagues whilst your finger is on the trigger as it may cause them harm'

'oh why of course, sorry! If only someone had thought to ask us this before then we would have all just gone home to our goats!'

Oh yea it's taken with a pinch of salt. But after years of inquiries, not just regarding the armed forces, this wouldn't surprise me to be true. Some enquiries have been borderline ridiculous. If true however, I feel this one takes 1st place.

He'd have had a herd of money grabbing, lefty human rights lawyers chasing him if they'd heard what he said after he fired.

"Gotcha"

I guess one of them is preparing an abuse case right now.

Not enough info to allow oneself to get wound up about it. The whole article is predicated on the press release from the veterans campaign group they mention.

Given the amount of taxpayers money already spent investigating non-existent war crimes by British soldiers this does not surprise me one little bit. Last week the Islamic Republic of Iran broke international law by seizing US flagged vessels in the gulf and then broke the Geneva convention by parading the abducted sailors - including a servicewoman they forced to wear a hijab - on TV. Who do you think is going to be conducting the investigation in Tehran into the Islamic Revolutionary Guard's human rights abuses?

If were not careful, in a generations time nobody will be a doctor, nurse, teacher, dentist, service person.......

We'll all live either as a politician moaning about things, or living off the state wondering why nobody has any money

I'm wondering what the stats actually show? Does anyone know if there is a decline in new recruits

Surely it really can't be the fact that the more you do to help your country, the worse you get treated. The less you do, the better off you are.

Insurgent is ready to fire an RPG, sniper takes him down without warning.

What's the problem?

It seems the sniper didn't give him enough warning before being shot. I assume, you are supposed to shout across the battlefield to ask him nicely to stop whatever it is he's about to do. Then if not, if he really does fire his RPG killing you and your unit, then you fire......again, assuming from the grave

I've never actually seen a ghost, nor heard of one shooting a sniper rifle, but again I guess anythings possible in this mad world.

A few people on here are yet to get that memo.

Most of the country as well.

Regardless of what you think to Corbyn, the amount of false truths coming out of the media after the labour leadership election was quite scary.

Like I said at the time, it's not the british public you need to win over.....it's the media.

From the article...
"Afghanistan was not a war. It was a United Nations operation to assist the government there to restore peace to the region."

So... he obviously hasn't thought much about the number of British soldiers who died in this not-a-war, or even taken a look at something as simple as the Ross Kemp in Afghanistan series, where he positively doesn't get shot at and RPG'd at all, nope. None of that. No air strikes being called in to drive back a skilled and determined enemy force.

we’re lawyers of principle

lol'er.

“Nobody has ever made the British public face what their armed forces did in the Second World War and the colonial wars since,” he says. “Germany was divided into four, made to eat humble pie, and national monuments were built commemorating their atrocities. What have we ever done? Nothing.”

What a ****.
