** XFX AMD NANO ONLY £349.99 Inc. VAT!! **

Nice, dunno how the people who just bought 390x cards are gonna feel though :)

I bought my 390X in the beginning of July, over 6 months ago, for £329 right here on OCUK.

I feel perfectly fine with my investment - I've had great use of it in these 6 months. The nano is still slightly more expensive, plus only has 5-10% additional performance at 1440P, so not an issue for me.

If I were buying a new GPU today, I'd strongly consider the nano, though the 4GB would still put me off a bit. That being said, we're too close to the next generation of GPU's, which will completely antiquate all current GPU's, so I'd probably wait until they release.

I bought one 3 weeks ago at £409 to replace the 295X2. I haven't regretted it.
Very fast card, that begs for watercooling or custom fan profile. Because default "auto" profile, keeps the card quiet and just throttles it.

However the card is superb, dead quiet and tiny compared to the 295X2 or GTX780.
Bought the EK pre-filled waterblock and waiting (2 weeks now) for the Predator 360 to arrive tomorrow and plug everything together.

If you have Freesync monitor, set max fps to ~70 and you are good to go. Keeps the card cool also (if you keep the single fan cooler), while haven't see the need for overclock (mine gets to 1080 core on air)

Why would you buy a Nano to take it out of its tiny form factor + added expense to watercool?
The Fury-x comes with a cooler and a better spec pcb.
The fury-x doesn't clock well with the better pcb anyway but the price to invest in a block and pump etc including the nano is terrible value for money for the gains in fps and oc headroom.

Is complicated.
a) At £400 was cheaper than the FuryX and with the EK block cost added on top, is still cheaper than a FuryX. Let alone now at £350 with the waterblock goes £430 at most. Thats still cheap for the same GPU.
So anyone who wants to watercool it, is no difficult choice.

b) Overclocked both don't have much difference. Mine on air does 1080/530 and the best FuryX with it's AIO does ~1135/540

c) I want to scale down my PC to ITX. So need less space, to travel with it to Greece, when I am living there 2-4 months a year. Cannot carry around a 295X2, and the nano with the waterblock is tiny single slot card. (mobile case project in due course).

d) My H100i died. Cannot overclock the 4820K because anything more than stock speeds skyrockets to 82C and the choice between another H100i and a Predator 360 is not difficult.
£100 difference gives you a fully expandable watercooling system as good as any custom made loop, without the hassle. And since the 360 EK rad can cool an overclocked 4790K and overclocked Nano is perfect. Let alone a 4820K which is cooler CPU

This is price it should have released at.

I always said if they had just sold the fury as the Nano and at this price then Amd would have had strong sales and I would have bought 2. But I can't see amd selling these for cheap considering Fiji is 600mm2 (low yield) and the added expense of hbm interposer, surely it's hurting them?

Ok thankyou I can understand your reasons for going that way and at 350 it's an attractive price, I'm a little confused though you're using the 360 for the Nano, but what are you using to replace the h100i? . I just think that the Nano surely would be best left at 1000-1050 with the power limit raised and maybe some diy fans maybe??

The Predator 360 has QDC plug. I will cool both the CPU & GPU with it :)
And if needed, lets say I buy another Nano ;) I will grab another Pre-filled block, and a pre-filled 240mm radiator with QDC :D

Here is a nice review about it.

The EK idea to overcome the AIO patent, should be applaud at best.

Agreed, I've downgraded sold my high end parts now while worth a chunk and waiting for new GPU / CPU this year before spending lot's again. Fancy Pascal full fat and Broadwell -E It's the tedious waiting game now though lol.

AMD were better of pricing them to high then to low, it's much easier to justify to consumers prices decreases then having to explain why the price is going up. They made that mistake with the HD5870, I doubt they will ever want to repeat that again.

Agree with this to a point. AMD vastly overpriced this GPU based on the niche it fell squarely into. I suspect any HTPC folks who wanted or could afford one got them by now so sales have dried up completely. Hence the sales and special offers. I will be honest if I was in the market for a Fiji this would win hands down.

I hope that they repeat this small form factor with their top end Polaris cards. It's nice to see AMD trying to take on NVIDIA in a different space.

ordered! will have a comparison of performance between air nano vs sapphire fury and customised water cooled nano vs sapphire. Let's find out who will got the upper hand. :D
