eBay mistake - Anyone in Ilford?

Then how do you know he paid for it? Paypal always send out an email with the buyers address when you receive a payment. Have you bothered checking your paypal account at all ?

Or allowed other mode of payment?

I know he paid for it as I had the notification from the paypal app. What I haven't received is an email from paypal which includes another address.

Now when I do look at ebay postage labels it comes up with an alternative address

He has opened a request in the resolution centre, stating he hasn't received the item.

Hes not been aggressive in his tone, but im not willing to lose out to both a refund and the item, how do I go about contacting ebay about this, as the only options are contact seller, update tracking info or refund buyer?

Yes.

Why would the buyer be receiving the PP payment?

Okay

If you are the seller OP then you ship to the address given on the order from eBay. This might be different to PayPal but as they are separate now that should not effect you.

It is not different than if you was to order something on your card to your work address. Your delivery address would be work but your billing address would be your home (in this case the billing address is his address on PayPal)

From your original question, I would not bother. If you deliver to a different address to that which eBay has given you then you will not be covered on seller protection.

You always need to use the address which paypal indicates is eligible for seller protection. If you log into paypal and look at the transaction you will see it.

If you didnt use this address this lesson has unfortunately just cost you £100 :(

i dont see how its your problem its his mistake let him do all the legwork.

You have proof of sending to his Paypal registered address. (ilford?)

Who cares? Pretty sure its a side with you.

He didn't update his crap how are you to know ?

Which is my concern, and why im trying to locate the parcel, but if its been delivered and has a Flat number one, which it does, im pretty certain what has happened to the parcel

If he was the buyer why would the other guy who would be the seller be raising an "Item not received" case on eBay

Anyway it's irrelevant the OP has confirmed what he is.

If he was returning an item he had purchased and had not returned it the other chap can raise an item not received.

But as you say it does not matter the OP has clarified now.

What does it say on the paypal transaction, if it is the illford address then you are covered and you dont need to worry.

When checking the paypal transaction last night it lists the other address, so I kind of know what the outcome is going to be.

Just annoys me that his registered address he has with ebay isn't correct, but I cant use that as an excuse

Also, do you think the concierge would let someone go and take a parcel just because you claim it's been sent to the wrong address? It would be an absurdly common scam as the tracker would show it as delivered, but then someone's gone in and taken it back, so the seller gets the money and the item back, and the buyer loses both.

If you sent to his address on the eBay order you are fine.

Go to you eBay sales and check the order details.

Yes it has to be PayPal addy or bust. I got stung by this before but was lucky enough to have the parcel returned to me by the wrong recipient.

The email that came through from eBay when the buyer bought the item listed the buyers registered address. I can't seem to find an email from PayPal with another address but I did receive a push notification from the app saying that the buyer had paid. When I went to post the item I looked at the eBay email which listed the buyers registered address, so I sent it there. It wasn't until I went into the PayPal transaction that it listed the other address

But what is the eBay order address?

If you you go to your sold items online or the app you should be able to see the order address.

Is that where you sent it?

Forget any email you got from eBay and forget PayPal.
