Hows everyone's Jan diet going? :p

I've put 2 stone on recently as I have a physical job, but am not working as much at the moment so am not burning the extra cals off. I always thought I was one of those people that couldnt put weight on, but it seems I must have just been burning loads of calories.

I'm at 14st now @ 6'1" and tbh I prefer the extra weight. Might just start doing weights to turn the fat into muscle and tone (:p).

I'm currently trying to gain weight / muscle so am quite happy eating a calorie surplus, I'm consuming roughly 3200 calories a day!

Last year I had two shoulder dislocations and had labrum surgery in October, as a result I couldn't lift weights or play football meaning I had to be careful with my calorie intake and my weight dropped, I was just under 14 stone at my smallest and at a big framed 6ft4 this was tiny! I'm currently just sitting under 15 stone and looking to get up to 16 stone.

Not a diet as such, but my new year's resolution was to stop buying my lunch at work and bring it instead. Might not necessarily be healthier but it's certainly saving me a lot of money.

I've not bought my lunch once yet except last Thursday when my wife was in town so we went to Mcdonalds together. This was a planned exception though which I'm fine with.

Not going on a diet, but my current daily diet consists of yogurt for breakfast, some sort of fruit for mid-day eating, chewing gum for lunch, and some sort of meal for dinner :D I dunno why I'm just never hungry for most of the day, especially breakfast. My "diet" is to actually start eating more.

Hmm, well my weight has started creeping up back toward 14 stone.

Which is really, really odd, because I'm still not snacking between meals, and still occasionally only eating two meals a day.

The only thing I'm not doing is a lot of aerobic exercise. But my food intake is about 2/3 or less what it used to be.

I find it weird that my body seems to have adapted to the lower calorie intake, and is still managing to put on weight, after briefly dropped 1/2 a stone.

Not been on a diet, feel like I've put on a little more weight but that will go in February when I get active again.

Lost 6kgs since last holiday, November time.

I don't struggle to lose weight though, it's pretty easy when you know how though.

Energy boost
Help you focus better
Prevent you from gaining weight and keep track of it
Boost your metabolism

Those are the basic reasons.

My best friend had shingles twice last November, hes not fat, he is small and slim. But the doctor said one of the main reasons why he had it was due to skipping breakfast as he didn't have enough nutrients to maintain his metabolism throughout the day.

Now he eats cereal every morning before going to work and stopped drinking coffee completely.

I've just stopped eating crap, full sugar coke changed to coke zero, no more crisps and no late-night snacking. Haven't lost much weight yet though, 5'5 and weight around 12 stone so quite overweight. Found my running gear from uni so am going to start exercising more, just need to get some running shoes.

mines going pretty well for a change, usually lasts about a day but been going about 3 weeks now and gone from 24st 2lbs to 23st so far.. :)

10lbs down thus far. Knocking the fast food on the head and forcing myself to go out of my comfort zone with my cooking is alright.

Problem was I didn't like the veg my parents did and it made me think all veg was similarly pants, now I'm branching out I'm finding it's actually only a small handful of things I don't like and I've been missing out on the rest.

I started my diet last November.
Was 13 st, now 11st 6 lbs (I'm 5 ft 10").
I still eat 3 meals a day, but no longer eat crisps, and very very rarely have any chocolate or cake.

Also exercising 4 times a week at the gym (HIIT classes and boxing), and eating more lean meats, and more fruit and veg. I'm noticing the muscle gain.
Body fat % down to 18.2%
