Not a bad way to kill some time if your not in a rush![]()
Was looking a flights the other day and could get to Copenhagen from Luton for ~£4. Its crazy how desperate they are to fill seats sometimes!
BBC Article said:Mr Cox said the journey, on 20 January, saved him about £8.
It took him 12 hours to get home compared with the three-and-a-half hour train journey.
I think it's highly unlikely he will be spending his savings on a girlfriend
It's not quite accurate unless he only values his time at £1 /hour.
My time outside work is genuinely worth £0
Is it? So I can pay you £0.01 a hour to come and clean my house then?
In reality you value your time considerably more than that. Most people are unwilling to trade their freetime for more money which indicates that they place value on their time.
Always find these comments stupid.
Most people can't just earn money as and when they feel like it.

What they mean is, is that generally we all spend money on things that save us time so whilst at face value it is cheaper, it isnt really because it took him 4 times as much time.
It is why we buy dishwashers, washing machines, cars etc.
For example car travel (when you take into consideration all costs) might cost more money than public transport but you do it because odds are it will take far less time, be far less hassle and generally a much nicer way to get to your destination.
