I recently went from a 280X to a Fury and was delighted with the improvement.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Presumably these new cutting edge cards will be in the £450-£500 region though? And there's no way I'm spending that kind of money on a graphics card.
Edit: Didn't see your 'cheaper' bit. Why will they be cheaper?
The new Polaris chips coming soon are much smaller than Fiji precisely because of the die shrink.
Not sure coming soon is the best term to use, seeing as the only time frame we have heard from AMD is by the back to school period, which is September and we are just about to start February. Of course they could arrive anytime between now and then, but why say something that indicates a reasonably specific time frame, when they could have said something like, the summer giving themselves much more leeway.
