Careful with the Allroad, are they still selling the old A4 based one? The new model will be well worth a look though.
Is the new one out yet?

Old model could be worth a punt if there are some good deals. Wouldn't spend anywhere near the full budget on one though!

Cheers for the replies, I'll get her to have a look at the Octavia and XC60.

Yeah the new allroad is currently on there website as £TBC so I'm assuming its going to be release/announced soon?

You've got one for all the VAG brands pretty much:
Seat Leon X-Perience
Passat all-track
Skoda Octavia Scout
Audi a4 / a6 all-road
(Porsche Macan, Bentley Bentayga...)

Theres the Peugeot 508 RXH?

Would the crossover stuff like the GLA / Q3 / X1 be too 4x4 like for her?

Errrm no its not... like fox said its not a 4x4 shape.

99% sure they don't do the legacy in the UK? Forester is too much of a 4x4 shape.

XC60 is higher, longer and wider than a Forester and in the same class of car i.e. small SUV

508RXH isn't really in this class, they are a bit jacked up but not by much. And although they're technically 4WD it's because the electric motor drives the rears so won't give proper 4WD grip - they are really heavy too so I wouldn't fancy my chances in a muddy field with one
