Hi everyone!

Me and my boyfriend are thinking of traveling around Europe this summer and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of cities and areas to visit? We're thinking wine tasting in France and small cities where you'd might not wisit normaly on a holiday.

We're greatful of any suggestions!

Have you considered the coast of Denbighshire, Wales? I hear there's a really nice seaside town there.

Krakow, Prague, Vienna and Budapest would make a good trip.

Munich, Innsbruck, Zurch and on to Geneva.

I hear Lesbos is nice at the moment...

I much preferred Salzburg to Vienna. Definitely visit Budapest if going to the east of Europe.

Geneva is a dull city. Don't bother!

Do the Champagne route, take some time in Reims and Epernay. Or, you could do around the Rhone region. Bordeaux is a nice place to visit, but a lot of the good houses are closed and you can't visit them, whereas the Rhone region is bit more open.

Here's a few places I've been to in France:

Near Bordeaux:
St-Emillion would be a great shout for wine
Cognac for Brandy (obviously)

Near Toulouse:
Rocamadour is fascinating
Albi for the Cathedral there
Carcassone is a UNESCO World Heritage site

I have to say, joining a pc forum and posting about a holiday first is a strange first post but WELCOME :)

+1 for Budapest. loads to do and literally caters from culture right through to a boozy stag doo weekend and it costs peanuts to eat and drink out there.

I can not wait to go back
