Horse Owner Complains Man Took Prize-Winning Equine Selfie Without 'Consent'

She has no legal standing and I hope she gets throughly abused both online and off for being such a nasty person.

Wow seriously?

You hope a woman is abused in person for being miffed about a competition prize?

What a ** Removed ** person you are.

nah, horse by itself wouldn't have likely won... it needed the dad and the kid smiling in it too - they're promoting family holidays etc... after all

plus it was their idea to take the picture and enter it, the woman didn't even know the competition existed so hasn't lost out

Also bangs on about £2000 being a lot of money while owning a horse.

All the women I know that owns horses would be very grateful for £2k and it would be a lot of money to them.

Owning a horse isn't a rich person thing, I know plenty of working class folk that own a horse.

As for the woman, Thomson have said that they are yet to receive a complaint from her.

What a scummy person you are.

She can be miffed all she wants. She has taken to social media and asked her friends to attack a child over some thing she is completely in the wrong about. Live by the sword and what not, combat liberalism. Bullies deserved to be bullied. I am sorry you are obviously the kind of person that turns the other cheek and lets people get away with being wrong. She needs to learn a lesson.

So we should all bully you because you're hoping a bully gets bullied which makes you a bully also?

Is this also how you would advise dealing with young children who may have picked on someone? Just give them a taste of their own medicine instead of explaining why it was wrong and giving them a chance to apologise and change their behaviour!

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

She has made an uneducated mistake in the heat of the moment and last i heard Thomson have stated they are yet to receive a complaint from the woman regarding the matter.

It was a stupid thing to do, as a photographer this annoyed me no end when I first read this on Facebook yesterday or the day before, but my first reaction wasn't "I hope she gets abused!".

Sve hasn't attacked a child at all....

You're the one asking for somone to be attacked.

Unfortunately people just don't understand photography rights and intellectual property rules.

Suggesting the woman should be abused however thats just plain stupid.

I could understand if they went on the woman's property to take the pic, but they were on a public footpath. She's a moron and anyone agreeing with her is up there with her.

What about YouTubers? Some make money from recording other people's cars. Should they split that ad revenue with the car owners? Of course not. It's silly.

Thomson have confirmed on their facebook page that David Bellis will be receiving the holiday he won, and rightly so.

The owners of the horse should be ashamed, the whole family.

She added: 'There should be some token of gesture as it is our horse that has really won them the holiday.
'I didn't even know that this competition was on. If I had known about it we would have entered it ourselves and could have won as Betty is always sticking out her tongue.'
Her father Phillip Dunn, 67, said: 'He has wormed his way into a £2,000 voucher. He is earning money off our horse, which is naughty.
'My daughter could have entered the competition if she had known about it.'

And Metro managed to get a screenshot of the facebook comments the daughter before she closed it off where she admits asking for money http://metro.co.uk/2016/02/01/dad-s...smiling-horse-without-owners-consent-5655683/

She has since added one saying:

No we didn't want half of the money as we knew it was a voucher for a holiday. It was the fact that he had entered her in a competition for his own benefit knowing that he would get money for it. Without my horse he would have never won this. We didn't want his money at all and I congratulated him on winning the £2000.

Which is an outright lie given the screenshot on Metro.

And from reports, David Bellis did receive messages from the family and friends, which was intimidating and could be seen as bullying.

I have a horse, and can honestly say there are some nice people in the horse world, but unfortunately there is also a lot of spiteful, petty, jealous, nasty people as well.

Someone send her a bridge token for a local bridge, everyone's a winner baby, that's the truth.
