I am after something to clean all my seats/bootspace basically everything that Is some form of cloth/fabric in my car.

it has become a right state after using it as a van for the past year doing my house up.

are these foam cleaners any good? or can anyone recommend a well priced steam cleaner?

what do you use to keep you upholstery nice and shiny?

I use the George extractor. It's Henry's big brother and has been so useful cleaning carpets and upholstery in the car. Cost about 200 quid but has paid for itself many times over. And a damn good (albeit heavy) standard vacuum cleaner too.

I use a steam cleaner (Cheapo £40 job) on my leather and cloth with G101 in a bottle. Although for a one off deep clean you can not go wrong with renting a rug doctor.

I used to hire Rug Doctors, they are good. To be honest though, i find a simple Vax Rapide to be just as good as one. You can buy them for £99, thats only 5 rentals of a Rug Doctor.....

(Its not built as well, wouldnt be up to commercial rental, but the actual results are the same IME and you hardly use it in reality so it'll probably last forever).

Dam you got me looking on ebay! Seems you can get refurbished units for £50!

You can use the same cleaning fluid through it too. I generally use rug doctor fluid simply because its available at my local Rug Doctor hire place at a moments notice. (Remember you have to buy the fluid on top of the rug doctor hire price).

Id rather not have to store yet another big electrical thing haha but I see your point

Fair enough if you dont have somewhere to put it. :)

Rug Doctor machines are ok but won't fix everything.

Had to clean a lot of grimy carpet the other year and it got down to the pink carpet cleaning foam cans and a stiff bristled scrubbing brush to actually work the dirt out.

Then over it with a hoover when it had dried out.
