So what level of noise should I hear (or more to the point not hear) from this card?

Over the cooling fan, even when the card is running at full tilt, I'm hearing a high pitched ticking whine sort of sound. It's not loud but clearly audible over the much deeper fans of the case, GPU cooler and CPU AIO cooler. I'm pretty sure this is not coil whine as the pitch is steady and yet coil whine I understand fluctuates with frame rate changes.

I did see a review (techpowerup) suggesting that the pump may be noisy, but that Gigabyte had upgraded that. I'm wondering if the card I've just bought from OcUK has the older noisy pump?

Good News. Gigabyte are offering to recall my GPU, which suggests it was part of the pre-upgraded pump batch. I had convinced my self I had tinnitus.
 
my Corsair H100iGTX AIO has this horrible 'ticking' noise, but ONLY and ironically if I set it to "quiet" mode using corsairlink. This puts the pump rpm rate way down and seems to cause the issue.

At the default "performance" mode, it's as quiet as a mouse - has no ticking - and I really rate it all round.

Don't get this with my H110i tbh which probably uses the same pump! I've got it set to High anyhow now as my computer is under my desk :)

I have same issue with this card. I live in poland and bought this card in local shop.

Gigabyte Poland still can't help me out with this problem.
My pump "Ticking" in idle and sometimes dosent start at computer startup (starting after 10-60seconds after computer on).


Can You @Gigabyte-Gaming check my serial for be sure to I have defective pump?

Hi, please PM us your Serial number. We will check it with R&D and if it's one of the first few cards with the issue we will gladly arrange a replacement.
