John wick - A step to far

Absolutely loved John Wick - precisely because it was a return to 'proper', no holds barred violence, gun-play and brutal hitman action. None of this cutting away nonsense or softening the killing. John Wick is brutal, nasty and all the better for it.

It's a great film with some truly amazing sequences - which, btw, Keanu Reeves did mostly himself (including the driving!).

Great film. Don't really have a bad word to say about it. Really looking for JW 2.

The OP is just wrong.

Denzel in The Equalizer was similar. He was brutal. Choking in their own blood. Wasn't it Russians in that film?

Guess you don't have a dog.

If that happened to my dog and I possessed the skills of Mr Wick, I'd do the same as him.

And I would have sympathy for you and would refuse to condemn you for such a revenge killing.

I think you have to have a pet in your family to understand. Or maybe we're just both mentally unbalanced. Who knows.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go watch this movie before my Sky movies pass expires :p

Meh. I have a cat. I think I'd manage to resist murder if someone bumped her off.

But anyway... Watch the film. It's great.

Yeah, but cats are generally evil little buggers who either thoroughly deserve it, or who started the trouble in the first place!!

I say this having grown up with several cats myself, owned a couple and known many other people's... it's quite rare to find an innocent cat!!

Someone enjoyed it so much he/she made a chart :D

It made itself very clear on what type of film it was (remember laughing at the trailer on what a stupid plot) saw it and absolutely loved it.

Op should watch I saw the devil.

It does make sense. That was a reference to John Wick going and getting a sledgehammer to crack open his vault of weapons and coins to go get revenge...

It doesn't make sense when the original context is someone stamping your dog to death and you wanting to take revenge. Not wanting to do it just because they called your dog a ****.
Yes, I got the reference, but that wasn't the part I was referring to...

And yes, I know it was a joke. It just a crap one. Well, two actually.

This 100%

I'm another that really enjoyed it, Hopefully the sequel will be as good, A bit of blood and OTT murder makes for a great film once in a while IMO.

Watch Keanu in Street Kings ... its on Netflix atm . 2008 movie , saw it for the first time today ... Some nice no holds-barred killings in that :D

Not a bad cast in it tbh

Watched JW last night on the strength of this thread :p Nothing wrong with turning your brain off for an hour and a half and this film is perfect for that.

I do think a better plot could be had from the rise to power of the gang/Continental/Red Circle etc hinted at during JW
