Currently in the process of selling my 2 980's and going to get a 980ti.

Not sure which one to get, any advice?

Best 980 Ti is the EVGA Kingpin.

Much better bang for buck is something like the MSI Gaming.

If you want a very quiet time then look at this.

I would get an AIO/ hybrid version, 100%. Just get whichever you can get the best deal on

Personally i went with the EVGA classified. Get an EVGA they are simply the best IMO due to customer service and build quality.

I was toying with the hybrid but the classified has better overclocking ability and is clocked higher from the factory. It is HUGE much bigger than a reference ti its a very tall card. By being so big its get a much bigger heatsink with bigger fans = less noise. my fans are hardly audible during games on the stock fan profile.

if you like the idea of the hybrid go for that. for me im not a fan just more to go wrong later down the line.

I've got both an MSI gaming and an Asus Strix and they are both very comparable - the fans on the Asus will go faster (and consequently louder) allowing a marginally higher OC for benching, but if you want quiet the MSI is an excellent choice

Wouldn't you be better off keeping the 980's in sli till pascal is released ?

Actually yeah. Although I went from 2x 780Ti to one 980ti before xmas, I had to really ponder that decision. And it's only cos I'm still using one of my 780tis in my work comp that I did it.
Having said that, one 980ti at 1440p, with gsync, is just about the best all round setup at the moment. Chews through anything, and no more SLI problems!

I have the EVGA Hybrid, having used custom watercooling in my last two PCs I am not missing it. My card spends most of its time at 1470mhz boost which I am happy with.

Since you currently have EVGA 980 Hybrid SLI if you are happy with those then the EVGA 980Ti Hybrid wont disappoint. But seems a slight downgrade (when SLI is working) to go to a single 980Ti.

It is a slight downgrade but recently I have had issues with SLI and most games are requiring a workaround till Nvidia update the graphics drivers. New tomb raider for example. I only play a 1920x1080 144hz as I mostly play CSGO and regularly single players. So one 980ti would be more than enough. Plus the fact I don't need to worry about SLI issues is a huge plus.

I think if I am going to get one i'll get the EVGA Hybrid, been really impressed with the temps and performance.

Do you think its worth holding off then till the new cards are out?

I have heard really good things about the EVGA Classified. What temps does it reach? Might be worth getting that one and save £50
