it is a requirement of the job that you're not too smart
seriously, if you score well on the test they give you you're ruled out for recruitment as a police officer along with the candidates that completely fail - they just want functioning human beings who won't think too much
Why didn't the motorcyclist stop immediately?
who is driving an unmarked Chevrolet Camaro
tbh nudging one biker off at such a slow speed is in my opinion acceptable when his stupidity could have potentially caused a lot worse.

Why didn't the motorcyclist stop immediately? All of the cars got out of the way so the Police car was clearly using priorities. I have seen UK officers give more than a kick prior to cuffing, so less drama/indignation needed in the thread generally.
Quite amazed that anyone thinks the biker was trying to escape. He could have lose the police car in seconds if he was trying to run. He didn't realise he was there and when he did he stopped. Riding like a bit of a tit is not an excuse for booting the guy in his face and ramming his bike.
Any reasonable person wouldn't have been worried about the guy on the bike running once he had stopped. Any person who runs from the cops once they are within a few metres of them is really likely to get shot as well.
Nothing about that video suggests that the officer behaved in a reasonable manner.
It is not their job to drive dangerously for the sake of a pursuit though. There has to be some sense of weighing up the risks. Police abandon pursuits in this country all the time, so as not to endanger people.
unmarked police car, he didn't see it straight away... I guess it is easier to hear when you're driving a car/not wearing a helmet
